Chris Reeve Knives receives double recognition at Blade Show 2003
Boise, Idaho. June, 2003
At
the 22nd annual Blade Show & International Cutlery Fair, held
in Atlanta, GA June 12-15, 2003, major exhibitors participated in
a ballot to recognize industry leaders. The Blade Show is, worldwide,
the largest gathering of the different sections of the knife industry
and is considered by many as the most important event of the year. At the gala banquet on Saturday evening, Chris Reeve Knives
was honored to receive acknowledgement from industry peers in two
categories:
On behalf of his company, Chris Reeve
accepted Blade Magazine’s Manufacturing Quality Award for the third
time in four years. This prestigious award encompasses the entire
line of Chris Reeve Knives rather than just one model. Chris
Reeve Knives are known around the world to be consistently innovative,
functional and manufactured to the tightest tolerances in the industry.
Together
with William (Bill) W. Harsey, Chris also accepted Blade Magazine’s
Knife Collaboration of the Year award for the Yarborough/Green Beret
Knife. Designed by Bill Harsey, with manufacturing input from
Chris Reeve, the knife is manufactured by Chris Reeve Knives. “The Yarborough” is presented to every graduate of U. S. Army Special
Forces Qualification Course and is available to legacy S.F. members. The almost identical knife, known as the “Green Beret,” is available
to other military and civilians.
